Over 46 million people are registered to vote in elections in the UK. Voters should be able to ‘make their mark’ easily and confidently knowing that their vote will be counted in the way they intended. Ballot papers and other voter materials should not create barriers to that. From guidance on the format, accessibility and usability of voter materials, to downloadable examples, we’ve developed this resource to help ensure that the needs of the voter are put first when designing voter materials within current legislation, and when considering changes to designs in the future.
